Etche is blessed with natural resources.
Our products are sold and consumed both in Rivers State and in other parts of Nigeria.
Furthermore, Etche is endowed with abundant natural minerals, including crude oil which is produced in commercial quantity since it was first discovered at Umuechem, in 1958.
However, beside Umuechem location, oil has been found in 16 other villages in Etche land, totalling 110 oil wells.
It is very sad to note that despite all the natural mineral resources found in Etche Land, there is no federal government presence to show for it, irrespective of the revenue contribution.
